Anyone who even remotely knows me knows that I LOATHE tattoos(for reasons too numerous to explain in a hub). Don't
get offended, it's not the person I dislike, just the art they decided to live
the rest of their life with! With that said...please judiciously view the
following pictures of hideous tats. It's not for the faint of heart, and you
may want to keep grandma or the kiddos away from the computer for a bit!

I agree that tattoos are immature and stupid, and I agree with a lot of your selections, but a lot of them weren't actually directed at the tattoos but, say, the weight of the people themselves. Also, others, like the Pippi one were most likely intentional and not a mistake.

I'd actually like to get a tattoo, someday, but these are really quite humorous. I think you really should appreciate something to get it drawn permanently on your body. The reason why it says "Pippi Långstrump" (not Pippi Langstrum), is because the story was written by Astrid Lindgren. For your information, Astrid Lindgren was swedish.
Roughly translated Långstrump means Longstockings. Get your facts straight.

Im a tattooist. Id say at least 98% of these tats would get rejected in any good studio. I have absolutely no idea why any self respecting tattoo artist would ever agree to waste their talents on shit like that. Despite the large amount of terrible tats, some of them are done quite well. Some people are idiots.

I spent a year designing mine and found an amazing artist to work free hand. Good rule is if they have hundreds of tattoo books to copy from walk away!!!! They wont be an artist!!! Look at there work, not a photo book, that could be from anywhere!!!

Some of the tatoos weren't exactly done well, but thats just my opinion. I think that if someone has the guts to get a tatoo knowing that it will last the rest of their life-more power to them. I already have 1 and plan on getting at least 3 more. No judgement is allowed on my part, its not my body so its not my problem.

some of these tattoos are done to a high professional standard, and some are just terrible in subject matter and execution. It is a shame that so few recognise that there is a difference. Some are really odd and some grotesque, but if it is a highly professional piece people should be able to admire the work, if not the subject. On the Brandon Lee tattoo, people do actually tattoo in memory of people that are important to them. Your lack of understanding doesn't warrant a "WTF."

5. I like a lot of these tattoos. Alien, pacman, hell even that evil burger is kind of is alright.I know some are silly or badly done but some of these are really cool. If they aren't, thats also none of our business.

I personally love tattoos, but I think you should be careful.about what will be permanent on your body. I have five and they're tasteful, and mean something to me.
People who conspicuously display tattoos are clearly making a public statement. Fine, that's their right. But then the public that has to view this stuff is equally entitled to express their reaction to this public statement. That said, this shit is painfully hideous.
Hate to see so many young people getting "inked up", then realizing later on that many employers will not hire them depending on location of their tattoo. 30 years later they will look like a wrinkled up newspaper.

I have to agree that all of those tattoos were actually rather stupid! i see nothing wrong with having a tattoo as i have 2 myself but some people just don't know when to quite destroying there body!
The My Little Ponies are well done and adorable. I personally prefer tattoos that symbolize things that always have, and always will, be meaningful to me. Mine represent my hometown, religious faith, "inner child", and love of cats. I have never regretted a single one for a moment (and I'm forty). I think a few of the tattoos here are clever (e.g. the connect-the-dots giraffe). I wonder about any regrets the clients might have now; I suspect some of them are perfectly happy with their choices. Personal tastes really vary!
i'm glad these people have them. it makes it easier to spot dumbasses by what kind of shit they have scratched on their bodies. they're a joke as soon as they walk out their doors and they're going to live the rest of their lives being laughed at. they deserve it.

Not everything was made in america, Pippi Långstrump is from Sweden, The literal translation is 'Bird Long-socks'.
From there they obviously left the Noun alone (her name) and translated the adjective better, resulting in Pippi Longstocking.
I also love how you people say Göteborg. It's too hard to say for ya'll, so to make sure people dont try, fail, and feel bad its even spelled wrong on maps for you.
